On March 1st I headed off to Bombay Hook Game Reserve, near Smyrna. It was very windy, and it seemed that only the vultures were enjoying the ride on the thermal updrafts. Neer the Woodland Beach turnoff on Route 9, I came across a huge flock of Snow Geese. I slowed down my shutter speed to show wing movement, however, in doing so the geese themselves were not as crisp in appearence as I would have liked. I did have one bird stay perfectly still for me.
